ALICE NOTLEY ~ Alice Notley has published over thirty books of poetry, including (most recently) Culture of One, Reason and Other Women, and Grave of Light, New and Selected Poems 1970-2005.  With her sons, Anselm and Edmund Berrigan, Notley edited The Collected Poems of Ted Berrigan, as well as The Selected Poems of Ted Berrigan.  She is also the author of a book of essays on poets and poetry, Coming After.  Notley has received many prizes and awards including the Academy of American Poets’ Lenore Marshall Prize, the Poetry Society of America’s Shelley Award, the Griffin Prize, two NEA Grants, and the Los Angeles Times Book Award for Poetry.  Often considered an important figure in the New York School, Notley lives and writes in Paris, France.

Her first collection Octet was published by Veer at the end of 2010. Work has also recently appeared on “Intercapillary/Space”, in Fire, Veer About, and is included in the forthcoming Better than Language: An Anthology of New Modernist Poetries (Ganzfeld 2011). POSIE RIDER ~ Posie Rider is so-o-o close to finishing her first psychosis memoir that she’s just going to say it’s finished: A Year off the Ward (2011) is a cross between The Bell Jar & Novel on Yellow Paper & Bridget Jones. Will be published by top publisher very soon & make fortunes of all involved. This chapbook will be priceless. Her poetry – neo-nature, clitolyric, gushing romantix, urban beats – has been lauded by most & can be found in tristunundisolde (arthur shilling press 2010), across the internet (go there, follow the blue link), in infinite journals, and right here. Most days she is restless – her hands are stained with wine & ink & blood. She lives in North London with her cat Emmeline Pankhurst – she makes an excellent lemon drizzle cake – and she & likes to think of herself as writer in residence, even if it is only in her own bed.
